More Garden, Wherein Origins of Plants are Further Discussed.

The Garden at 403

It's my sixth summer at my house, and the gardens are starting to fill in. In fact, there's been so much growth that I have moved two plants that were being shaded and I'm contemplating moving a couple more.

The bright pink roses are a result of wanting a rose bush RIGHT NOW when it was July or August, and just the random bushes were left. Last year I researched and bought five new roses--the kind I actually wanted, and they are all doing fairly well. I have two New Dawn climbers, two Baron Double de Coubert (shrubby) and one Zepherine Drouhin also a climber. They are all fabulously fragrant and lovely in habit.

The fuschia painted daisies are also a result of either a sale or a late season urge. They are  wonderful spot of color, though, as are the caution-orange lilies.
