Here come the holidays

Che will be joining us for Christmas in Iowa. Hooray!

The Bee sweater took up so much of my attention that now that it is almost finished, I realized I haven't knit anything for Christmas. And there's not much time left. I have a scarf that I knit before the Bee started that is for mom. But that's it. Or the scarf might be for Britt and the Carmen Banana kit for mom. That still leaves a lot of gifting.

If anyone is reading this blog, I apologize for how lame it is. I'm having a hard time getting my engines warmed up after so long.

Queen B

Oh Buzz, Queen B in the hive!
The 40th birthday sweater is oh so close to being finished.

Back in the kitchen

A tiny tin bird inspired me to revisit my blog and here I am.
Since we last met, I lost my job, found a new one, knitted many things, rearranged the furniture in the living room, turned the downstairs bedroom into an office and bought eight pairs of pajama pants for work.

Kady left us in June 2008 following surgery for GDV also known as bloat or stomach torsion. The cancer did not get her.  Months of unspeakable sadness followed, but then she led me to Roc. And I can't explain Frankie, but he is here too.  Che continues to visit from time to time--he's here today, in fact.

Our neighborhood has a babyweiler, now, too. Catalina lives with Sarah and Deb.
