Is My Cat Weird?

Lyle is my first cat, so I'm not sure if he is behaving strangely, but here's the thing.
Whenever I clean his litter box, he runs to the box, jumps in it and leaves a specimen. Usually a poop. It's happened the last three or four times I've scooped his box and he did it occasionally before that. It's sort of like he's saying, "Oh, are you taking poop out to the trash? Here, let me give you this, too."

We are still here! And we've added to our family. We now have a kitty named Lyle.
Kady goes in for her booster next week. We survived a ruptured cervical cruciate ligament scare (whew!) and in the process learned quite a bit about that injury. There's research being done right now that seems to indicate that dogs treated with conservative care (NSAIDs, cosequin, high Omerga 3 fatty acid food, weight loss, PT) do about as well as dogs who get surgery.
Interesting, yes?

Kady's cousin Sophie actually did blow out her CCL and she did have the surgery and she is recuperating now. Poor girl.
