OTK

The green/purple little cardigan is the third in the set for the twins. The green and brown one is an . . . I don't know yet what it is. It started out as a Britt's Hat, but I ran out of yarn. I'll find something to complete it eventually. Maybe the brown alpaca.

Girly Things

An old project (yello) and a new one (white fuzzy) whose babies outgrew them before they were finished.

Socks

Some selections from the sock machine. I need to make better use of the sock machine. Sock yarn is fun, but the best colors aren't washable :(

Little Lids

Here are some hats. The red and purple ones are variations on Britt's Hat. The darker one is one of the twins' hats.

Glove Love

This is how I do the gloves. Fingers first, then join them to the hand. These multi-color jobs are great for little bits of leftover yarn.

Orange One

This one is a little better. And I have enough yarn (also Koigu) for two gloves. I am doing these on ones and zeroes, so the fabric is nicely firm.

A Sampler of Projects

I've just discovered gloves. What fun! And I'm perfecting my own method for making them. I don't know how they are usually done, but this is how I am doing them. This is is the first one. I was just messing around, so I didn't really pay attention to the yarn, and I only had enough of this yummy Koigu KPPPM for one glove. One finger is too long (or one is too short) but overall I was pretty happy. I'm going to document and share my glove tricks later on.

Our New Knitting Blog

We are delighted to start this knitting blog. Here we will deposit and record -- if not for posterity, at least for later reference -- my experiments in yarn so that I can reproduce successful recipes.
